Lorene was married for nineteen years to her late husband, Troy, a beloved “car guy” known for building and restoring hot rods and for his unmistakable laugh that could fill a room. His shop was not just a workplace but a gathering place, a kingdom of sorts where friendships were built, stories were shared, and life was celebrated in its most ordinary and meaningful ways. After his passing, the lessons of love, resilience, and presence he left behind became a quiet thread woven

throughout Lorene’s writing.

Today, she shares life with her husband, Paul, a God-fearing man whose steady faith and companionship helped guide her back to church, community, and the quiet strength of trusting God’s timing. Together, they continue to build a life rooted in gratitude, faith, and a shared belief that healing often comes in unexpected ways.

Lorene is first and foremost a daughter of the King, a woman whose faith shapes her perspective but never overshadows her commitment to meeting people exactly where they are. At home, she is faithfully supervised by Jeffrey, her spirited white Pomeranian rescue, who serves as a daily reminder that even the smallest companions can bring enormous comfort and joy and that healing often arrives in unexpected, fluffy packages.

Through her writing, her newsletter The Lorene Peace Letters, and her growing community known as The Peace Collective, Lorene encourages others to become what she calls “Lifespeakers”, people who choose to speak life, hope, and kindness into their own story.
